He strives to represent the full psychedelic spectrum, preferring to play spontaneously, feeling the crowd, and trying to capture that one moment that cannot be repeated or planned.

Dave Irish, a unique selector and mixer whose artistry knows no bounds. Notorious for his versatility, Dave adapts his sound to elevate any setting — from commanding festival stages to creating intimate atmospheres while weaving psychedelic elements into his set.
Founder and manager of the established imprint Expo Records, Dynamic Range is known for his articulate mixing and sheer passion for everything psychedelic. Couple this passion and skill with a couple of well-trained ears and you have a working recipe that has won him sets from South Africa to Europe, playing festivals across the globe. It’s no secret that Dynamic Range has a relentless passion for finding new talent and sourcing psychedelic music. A talent that is easily spotted when watching the progression of Expo Records over the last decade.
Ethereal is Gabriela Hogg, a Progressive Trance artist whose sound drifts between intensity and atmosphere, crafting immersive, elevated moments on the dancefloor. Born and raised in South Africa, her journey began nearly a decade ago as a bedroom DJ in her early teens, experimenting across genres before finding deep resonance within trance.
Driven by a love for emotional expression and sonic freedom, she has steadily carved a path through the country’s vibrant trance scene and is now focused on releasing original music that reflects her unique vision. Her sets aim to awaken and uplift, leaving a lasting impression long after the final beat.

My Name is Kai and I am German. I met a very beautiful woman when DJing at two Vortex parties in 2007. Since then I have been living in SA. One of the finest male friends I ever met is Tarek, a humble, elegant and generous man who surprised me quite often.
Having known him as a legendary party person and an excellent chef for years, he played a very nice set at his home on a borrowed Traktor system. I was blown away by his choice of tracks and his quality of mixing. I asked him where he had learned that or who had taught him … his answer: I am just a dancer… and, as said, he is an A-class man. So we played at several parties together freely in respect and love for each other and for good music.
My story with Earthdance is a quite long and intense one. I met Chris Dekker in London in 1996 when he told me about his concept of doing a global party event that would benefit educational projects in Tibet. I pushed and promoted this story in my journalistic work as much as possible, but greed, naivety or even incompetence sometimes left a dark aftertaste. Ugly weather situations hit Cape Town badly in the last years. After playing at ED Vienna 2003, CPT 2017 and twice in Jo’burg I am honored to play again in CPT with a new team of beautiful, mature party people who are willing to bring the Earthdance Cape Town back to its full glory. Tarek and I will try to give our best as “Kai Mathesdorf b2b Mr T”.
Kindred Soundsystem is the hybrid DJ and production duo of Matthew Loots and Tyrone Platt (Ty Teknition) — best friends and kindred souls, united by a lifelong love of music, movement, and community. Born out of their Kindred Events series, the project evolved into a multi-genre act rooted in connection and driven by rhythm.
Matt, a DJ since the age of 16, is a deeply experienced selector, multi-instrumentalist, and musical purist with sharp technical instincts and impeccable taste. His live bass playing adds depth and dimension to the duo’s sound. Ty, with roots in hip hop, reggae, house and rave culture, is known for his exceptional ear, fearless palette, and smooth, intuitive mixing. His vocals bring a raw, soulful energy — fusing ragga, dub, disco, and psychedelic textures with intention and weight.
Together, they craft original music that transcends genre — tribal, Afro-futuristic, deep, and dancefloor-focused.
For Earthdance, Kindred will lean into their more psychedelic side — offering a hypnotic, high-vibration set with flashes of live bass and vocals. Kindred and Earthdance are a natural match: both honour unity, rhythm, and the deeper purpose of the dance.

I am very excited to make my return to Earthdance Cape Town this year after a bit of a hiatus.
This year I will be putting out some old-school original psytrance tracks with some serious bangers in there to bring in the sunrise on Saturday morning.
I’ll also be doing some of my off-centre, out-there, spaced-out, sometimes beatty music on the Mellow Meadow space, so keep an eye out for me there too.

Solo act of Riaz Jogee from Ward 10 and Outpatients. Combining his knowledge of live performance and production into his solo DJ act, weaving together sound journeys with music that personally inspires him, infusing the addition of live elements through his performance. His sets range from deep downtempo, Oriental / Melodic techno and progressive tribal trance.
Originally from Cape Town South Africa, Ryan Wallis is a DJ whose passion for storytelling comes alive through music. Expect a seamless blend of styles rich in powerful melodies and driving rhythms, crafted to heat up the dance floor. With over 22 years of music production experience and a background in sound engineering, Ryan has been making waves in the local scene over the last few years.
From Cape Town’s underground to the Garden Route, Saai has been a pioneer of the SA psytrance scene since 2003.
Her versatility has made her a festival crowd favorite, seamlessly blending psytrance genres and psychedelic techno, which of late is her preference. Known for reading the dancefloor at any given hour she takes her crowd on a rolling psychedelic journey through an intuitive dancefloor connection.
Catch her from 12:00-14:00 Sunday….guiding you to a truly euphoric Earthdance ending. Saai is also one of the creative minds behind the Space Invaders Festival, representing 8Bit Productions and curator of local lineups. PauloBaz aka DJ Skitzo since the year 2000. Music has always been a huge part of my life, especially the art of blending beats together for a non-stop dance experience. Rave, electronica or Doof Doof Doof , call it what you wish, it will always be the present and future heartbeat of music.

A cornerstone of South Africa’s psychedelic trance scene since 2003, this Cape Town-based DJ has ignited dancefloors from Jozi to Durban, Grahamstown to Port Elizabeth. With regular appearances at the country’s most iconic festivals —including Alien Safari, Vortex Parallel Universe, Origin, Organik, Earthdance, and Wacky Woods — his influence stretches across the South African psychedelic soundscape.
Internationally, his sets have echoed through dancefloors in the UK (Psymera), Portugal (Infected Guitars), Poland (Egodrop), and Germany (Backstage Munich), leaving a trail of stomping feet and smiling faces. Cape Town clubgoers will also recognize him from countless club gigs that have lit up the city’s underground.

JAMAL aka WIRED, has been involved with various Psytrance Production projects for the past 28 years. He started out as a chill space Dj and moved on to various types of Psytrance music genres
MELLOW MEADOW (chill/acoustic/workshop/healing area)
A space to relax in the soundscapes that our chillout DJs and acoustic musicians will weave in this space, lit by a sacred fire that will burn throughout the festival. Treat yourself to healing massage and be informed by talks on expansive topics to fill the mind and heart. Explore movement in our dance workshops and meet new friends as we create our conscious community together.
International street performer Zenn Viljoen, has bridged the gap between his acoustic music and his love of electronic music. Performing as “Almost a Sin”, he is a multi instrumentalist that uses African percussion, a loop station and his didgeridoo to blend his acoustic guitar music with a sampler and synths. Building tracks live, in real time with instruments and trading his acoustic guitar for an electric guitar with effects. The result is electronic music that is bound to take you to places that you’ve never been before, as he ventures into the unknown.

Amoraim released ambient/space music in1985 & first DJed Psy trance at the Zulu Warrior in Obs in 1995. In 1996 Amoraim played live & dj’d at Synergy chill area/River Club Obs. Later in 1996-1997 he played techno-acid trance live with hardware for 2 years under the title “Kraftreaktor”.
1997>1999 he was the resident DJ at the original Getafix off Long Street. A highlight was when Greg Hunter from the Orb joined Amoraim (then DJ name jayO) for a set. In 2001 Simo & Amoraim brought Skazi to S.A. under the label “Trancegression”.
Amoraim successfully released the first S.A. psytrance v/a CD “Africa In Trance“ in 2001 on his label microdotrecords.bandcamp.com. In between all the DJing Amoraim published the printed Heartbeat music magazine which promoted the psy music scene.
Amoraim has released 53 music titles to date. There are another 104 titles by other artists on microdotrecords.bandcamp.com. Since 1985 Amoraim has done over 400 successful events from ambient > to 177 bpm dark psy.
For Earthdance Amoraim is re-joined after 30 years by NinjaHZA (previously in Kraftreaktor) who was born in rave ruins, rebuilt in code, signal in the noise, pulse in the dark & who turns analog scars into future soundscapes.
Joe Klue on didge is also performing. He did a very successful Origin ’24 live/dj set with Amoraim (the 2 hour set is on soundcloud). Joe, who since the days of Drum Cafe & John The Gong, has been working on his singing didgeridoo style, be prepared to be amazed at all you are going to hear!
The meaning of the word “ Amoraim” is “message of love”.
A child of the OG rave scene and has been collecting and curating electronic music for over 25 years. It was a natural progression that eventually when the time was just right Laura would get behind the decks and create her own complex layered sound.
An audiophile with a penchant for mashups and a love of harmonies and lyrics makes her style fairly unique and seperates her from the humdrum of mediocre techno cha. Laura’s sets run deep with tracks spanning decades, moods and tones.
A mischievous DJ who’s not afraid to flit across genres, with samples, hidden messages and layers. Laura takes her job as the pied piper schooling the listener in the art of electronic flavours and options rather seriously.
Aurallaura brings a feminine energy yet her sets can throw down an unexpected gauntlet of driving thick bass lines that have kicked the pants of many a dancefloor.
Spliff Politix is the chilled alter ego of DJ Bruce, who is well-known for his thumping sets on the main stage, while Spliff Politix plays down-tempo and chill vibes in the Mellow Meadow.
Carly Nauta is an electric/acoustic violinist from Cape Town. Her set is a mix of progressive EDM spiritual along with soaring soundscapes on her violin. Carly has been playing as a booked artist for weddings, events and festivals from a young age. This is her first Earthdance performance.
Dr Mojo is a doctor, DJ, and a conscious dance facilitator. With roots in both medicine and music, she creates healing ecstatic soundscapes that serve as rituals of release and renewal. Her 20-year DJ journey has taken her from East African jungle parties to ceremonies in London and South African live venues and festivals including Retreat Yourself, Solstice, and Afrikaburn. A trained Tantrika, she blends hypnotic beats, evocative melodies, and pure bliss to guide dancers into transformative ecstatic healing.
DJ Sublime weaves all genres into sonic journeys where heaven meets earth, time dissolves, hearts open, and universes alchemise into pure love. Since starting in 2019, she’s played at Summer Camp, Vortex, Bazique, AfrikaBurn, Shanti, Silent Disco, and intimate private gatherings — creating spaces where music becomes magic.
DJ Sublime channels interstellar frequencies into earth-shaking grooves — where galaxies swirl on the dance floor, hearts sync to the beat of creation, and every drop is a portal to pure bliss.
Django is an eclectic DJ, producer and percussionist from Cape Town.
As well as DJing and performing in live electronic acts such as ‘Pravda’ and ‘Ward 10 & The Outpatients’ at SA festivals such as Vortex, Origin and Freaky Forest, he’s been releasing original electronic music under various aliases since 2006, and as DjangoZa since 2018.
Releases include tracks on labels such as Do Work (Das Kapital), Ambious (Sides, MKLY), and collaborations with legendary SA vocalist Tasha Baxter.
Expect funky, chunky beats, sneaky edits and live percussion.
DJ Firehorse has been playing Sacred World Music for 30 years. Using mantras and sacred music from all over the world remixed with a beat, calling one to dance or chill.
Gabriele Lubbe is a passionate laughter guide on a heartfelt mission to spread joy and connection through her unique Laughter Flow Sessions. Originally from Germany, Gabriele has spent more than half her life in Africa — a continent that lives in her soul and inspires her work. At sixty, she embraces her role as a joyful crone, celebrating the wisdom, playfulness, and vitality that come with this sacred stage of life. Her sessions invite people of all backgrounds to reconnect with their inner light, using laughter as a bridge to peace, love, and presence.
Ginette is internationally certified with Yoga Alliance: E-RYT 200 and has taught Kundalini Yoga since 2012 both in studios and at festivals like Retreat Yourself, SpiritFest, Earthdance, AfrikaBurn, Bazique, Summer Solstice, The Red Retreat, Learning Clan, Shanti Festival and the Sacred Music & Dance Festival.
In March 2021 and 2022, she hosted a yoga session for participants of the online World Nutrition Summit.
Ginette hosts a range of heart-driven yoga workshops in the Sufi Temple in Newlands as well as daily Zoom classes and Rebirthing Retreats. She incorporates Kundalini, Yin Yoga, movement practices and mindfulness and meditation in all her classes. She loves sharing these modalities and connecting with like-minded souls committed to opening their hearts and saying Yes to Presence, Vitality and Joy!
She has a large following of those looking to engage deeply with the self and the soul. Her workshops in Cape Town and classes at festivals are appreciated for the element of fun she brings in together with their heart-opening and transformative nature.
Gus Lou is a musician influenced by classical and contemporary, with his sounds blending folk, flamenco and indie and drawing on years of improvising. Expect a guitar and vocal odyssey that shifts between waves of light and shade and invites you to relax, reflect and renew.

Animal Movement
In this unique embodiment practice Hanna weaves animal flow (floor-based body weight exercise), yoga, floor flow and intuitive expression into one experience. You will learn an animal movement sequence to take with you, move through all spatial levels (floor to standing) and awaken the innate fluidity of your spine and body.
Groove-master Jamie Jupiter has been weaving free-form organic loops for decades. His sonic palette comes from a vast experience as a guitarist, percussionist, vocalist and harmonica player.
Delving into Dub, Trance, Balkan, Afrobeat, Folk and Nu-beat, Jamie’s chilled one-man-performances are known to leave people feeling mischievous, mellow and re-energised.
From womb to waveform, Jeanne Dee’s journey with sound is lifelong and lovingly lived. Her sets are a delicious reboot: chilled, humming, and deeply felt. Music for Earthdance’s peace and love – crafted for lounging, languid dancing, and soul-deep presence.
Merlin’s first word as a baby was “music”, yet it still took him a couple of decades to realise how profound that initial step on his journey as a spiritual being involved in this human experience truly was – how profound it truly is.
The Universe is vibration and we dance to its symphony at events like this, thus the honour as well as responsibility Merlin nurtures with a methodical mysticism designed to bring a truly freeing experience – a melding of sonic textures and grooves to keep you floating on your toes and grateful for the ground beneath your feet.
Merlin was a Wizard who helped Arthur, a child, become the one who unified what is now called “The United Kingdom”.
